And here we are, Monday again! I am so proud to be sharing a cracking image with you today….lets all drift off and daydream about chocolate in an uber creative way!
When I say I’m proud, today’s image is a guest post from my darling brother Andrew Dean who is just 14 (check out more of his work here) and he tells me his thinking behind the image: ”After seeing some images online similar to the one I shot, I decided that I wanted to attempt at making one myself. After scouting around the house, I set up the mini photo booth Dad got me for Christmas to get even lighting, upturned a microwave stand and stood the acrylic sheet on in. Then I spread the smarties on a plate and carefully used a pipette to spread the water droplets before shooting the close up of the water droplets.”
Andrew has got a lovely Nikon P7100 compact camera and shows us that you can have lots of fun which is what photography (and eating chocolate) is all about. How much of a proud big sister am I right now? Watching him grow and love this so much fills my chest with pride. I’m so impressed with his work that I have set up an album on my ‘Buy Prints’ section, so if you love it and want to buy a copy to reward this boy for his cracking work – click here! When we buy a house this summer, this is definitely going to be a piece of kitchen art!!
Here’s a couple of behind the scenes instagrams of the master in action and an earlier shot before he popped out to get more smarties!!
Happy Monday {chocolate} Daydreaming folks,
